The unveiling of Tecno L9 Plus was on done in Barcelona a few days ago. This phone, is a follow up for the Tecno L8 which by itself, was a great phone.

Screen and Build Quality
To get this off the way, the Tecno L9 Plus comes with a 6.0-inch display. It features a full metallic body with a fingerprint scanner at the back.
The huge screen is particularly helpful to those who value display real estate. These can include, avid gamers and people who use their phones to read.
Featuring a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution display, the IPS LCD touchscreen is not an outstanding feature. But, at the price, you will not get anything better than that.
Despite the large display, the device is only 7.99 mm. I can consider this “medium thick/thin”, since I have thin ones usually are below the 7.0 and thick ones are just above 8.5mm.
Battery life and performance
Now, the “L Series” by Tecno was mainly created for battery life. In the previous model, we have seen the device, have more juice at the end of the day when compared to other smartphones in the market.
The Tecno L9 Plus, comes with a 5000mAh lithium ion battery. The mobile company has promised that the phone will last 72 full hours when used heavily. In my own personal experience, expect something like 60 hours or close.
The good thing, is that the phone has fast charge capability – so even when the battery is about to die, you can just pop in the charger for a few minutes and you will be good to go.
Android version
The latest versions of Android are usually hard to find in mid-range and low end smartphones. Nonetheless, Tecno decided to go with it in the Tecno L9 Plus.
Android 7.0 Nougat comes with various performance improvements. Among them, improved battery life, user interface refinements and support security upgrades just to mention a few.
The biggest Problem
This makes me sad; with all these features, Tecno L9 Plus does not come with 4G support. In 2017, I predicted that all phone manufacturers would ship their smartphones with 4G/LTE. But, that is not the case, Tecno has already made my prophecy not come true.
