MOTO C Design and Build
In my own personal opinion, the design is mid-range-esque.
The phone has subtle curves at the edges. Compared to “square devices”, this is more comfortable to hold. In addition, it provides better grip.
Speaking of the body, it is all plastic. All the buttons are located at the right side. They are comfortably almost centered for better reachability and comfort.
The Moto C is available in 4 colors. You can either choose from black, gold, white or cherry.
However, the device is relatively thick. It measures 9.0 inches and weighs 154 grams. For the design, the only take away is the thickness. Were it something sub 8 inches, it would have been perfect.
Oh, one more thing. It has physical capacitive buttons at the bottom. Something very rear these days.
MOTOROLLA MOTO C Camera and Storage Specs
Now, for those who like taking pictures.
With the Moto C, in the rear facing camera, we get a 5.0 MP camera. It comes with an LED flash. This helps to take photos in low light conditions.
In addition to that, you have a 2.0 MP camera in the selfie front facing camera.
When it comes to storage. You get two options.
First is the 8GB version. This comes with the 3GB variant.
Second, is the 16GB variant. With this, you get 4G LTE capability
Unless you are really constrained when it comes to your budget; you should go with the higher version. This is because you get faster internet connectivity. Therefore, you can download files faster and watch videos without needless buffering.
In addition, both the 8GB and 16GB supports up to 32GB internal storage. You can install several applications in it and have many files.
MOTO C Performance
First, let’s start with the operating system. MOTO C comes out of the box with Android 7.0 Nougat. What are the benefits of this OS?
First, there is the fact that it comes with performance improvements. In addition, you get better battery saving capabilities. This ensures that the device can last you the whole day of average usage.
The MOTO C ships with Mediatek MT6737M chipset. In it, there is a 1.1GHz Quad core processor. Furthermore, the smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM and a Mali T720 MP2 GPU.
In my personal experience, having 1GB of RAM is very usable on Android. As long as you don’t run more than ten apps at the same time. Therefore, light multi-tasking is possible on this device.
The Mali GPU ensures that the games you play will run quite smoothly.
The Moto C is powered by a 2350mAh battery.
That, coupled by the fact that it runs android 7.0 Nougat, ensures that the device will only require charge at the end of the day. That is, if used averagely.
